Mineral kitchen

Location: Bay of Arcachon
  • This kitchen forms the cornerstone of a large living room of nearly 60m² with magnificent high sloping ceilings. We wanted to create a welcoming space with clean lines to allow for preparing meals, snacking, and sharing a drink.

We opted for a kitchen with mineral accents and selected the "Velvet Graphique" finish from Ixina for its deep forest green shade, which contrasts harmoniously with the "Little Terrazzo" quartz countertop from Pierre de Plan and the clay palette of the living room. We added oak bar stools and olive wood accessories to add warm touches to the space.

We started the design process of this kitchen with a niche design and as many upper and lower cabinets as possible to optimise storage and take advantage of the high ceiling.

The central island is perfectly aligned with the main niche and connects the kitchen's snack area. The black handles and "Pure Black" appliances frame the niche elegantly.

The finishing touch to this kitchen is the custom-designed frame of thin wooden slats painted the same color as the ceiling to create a beautiful, envelope and help delineate this corner of the room.
